Directions
Cut chicken in serving size pieces and cook in water to which salt has been added. Reserve broth.
Roll crust and place on pan about 2x15x9. Place chicken pieces on top of crust. Add broth, black pepper and a little cayenne pepper.
Roll and cut additional dough in strips 2 or 3 inches long and crisscross on top of chicken. Dot with butter.
Bake at 400° until brown.
Aunt Emma Seward was the sister of Kit Hawthorne.
