Directions
corn bread batter
oil
Heat iron skillet and add small amount of oil. Pour in about 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons of corn bread batter for each hoecake. Cook as you would pancakes.
While cooking repeat:
Snake baked a hoecake
Set the frog to mind it
Frog went to sleep
Lizard come and find it
Fetch back my hoecake, you long-tailed nanny!
Serve hoecakes with butter.
