CHEESE BISCUITS
Breads
Ingredients
- 1 dozen
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 cup milk or buttermilk
Directions
Preheat oven to 450°.
In a large bowl, mix 2 cups self-rising flour, 2 tablespoons margarine, 1 cup cubed Cheddar cheese. Blend well.
Add 1 cup milk or buttermilk and mix until a wet dough is formed (add additional milk if necessary). Drop from spoon onto greased biscuit pan. Bake in 450° oven 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
NOTE: Cheese will melt and some will run out onto pan and get really crispy. These "crispies" are especially good.
