CHEESEBURGERS
Meat, Seafood and Poultry
Ingredients
Directions
2 lbs hamburger
10 oz sharp Cheddar cheese
salt
pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 saltine cracker squares for each burger
pineapple chunks
garlic and parsley if desired
Crush saltines very fine. Mix saltines, hamburger, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and other spices desired.
Form hamburger patties thinner than usual in a pizza crust shape. Form twice as many burgers as desired.
Grate cheese and add to well in 1/2 of the patties. Place 1 pineapple chunk in the center of each.
Place the unfilled patties on top of the filled patties.
IMPORTANT: Using a large kitchen knife or spatula form the edges of each burger into very neat well-packed straight-sided patties much like frosting a cake. If this is not done, the cheese will escape during cooking.
Cook on grill or in iron skillet on top of stove until done.
Serve like any burger.
