Ingredients
- 4 cups sifted flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 4 eggs, separated
- 12 tablespoons shortening, melted
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/2 cups milk
Directions
Sift dry ingredients together. Beat egg whites and set aside.
Beat egg yolks; add milk and melted shortening. Add dry ingredients and beat with mixer until smooth.
Fold in egg whites. Bake at high temperature.
