Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 level tablespoons butter
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 scant cups flour
- 3 level teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
Directions
Beat the egg and sugar together till light; add the milk, then the melted butter and vanilla.
Sift the flour, salt and baking powder twice; add the liquid mixture to them and beat well. Bake about 45 minutes in a moderate oven in a 11x14 pan.
