Directions
1 cup soft butter
1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cups plain flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup finely chopped nuts
Mix all ingredients together. Chill 2 hours. Form into balls about the size of a walnut. Cook at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes. Do not brown! Roll in confectioners sugar.
This is our favorite Christmas cookie.
