2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons soda
3 squares chocolate, melted
1 1/4 cups milk
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
Mix together flour, sugar, shortening, salt, soda, chocolate and 3/4 cup of the milk. Blend well. Stir in baking powder and the other 1/2 cup milk. Add vanilla and eggs and mix well.
