1 cup softened butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
cinnamon - sugar mixed
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs; add flour, salt and cream of tartar. Mix well.
Shape into balls. Roll in cinnamon sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400° for 8 minutes or until just brown (light brown).
