As soon as forecast for snow is fairly certain, prepare custard or egg nog according to your favorite recipe or buy commercial egg nog. Mix in vanilla or nutmeg to taste. Chill thoroughly.
After snow has fallen and custard is ready to use, scoop up clean, soft snow.
Put about 1/2 cup custard or egg nog in a bowl. Gradually blend in snow until consistency you like. Serve immediately!
NOTE: Emergency substitution for custard - Mix together milk, sugar (or artificial sweetener) and flavoring.
Add chocolate syrup for chocolate snow cream.
