SOFT DRINK SALAD

Ingredients
- 2 pkgs lemon gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 12 oz bottle lemon-lime soft drink
- 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple (drained)
- 3 bananas, sliced
- 1 cup small marshmallows
- 2 teaspoons flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 pint whipping cream
Directions
Dissolve gelatin in the boiling water. Let partly set, then add soft drink and stir. Let almost set and add pineapple, bananas and marshmallows. Let set. Cover with topping.
TOPPING

Combine pineapple juice, flour, sugar, egg and butter. Cook until thick. Get very cold. Prepare whipping cream with sugar and vanilla and fold into topping. Spread on salad and top with grated cheese.
