STEWED SUGAR

Put all ingredients into saucepan and cook until drop of mixture forms a brittle ball when dropped into small amount of cold water.
Put out in long dish or greased pan and pull at once.
Aunt Beck Peace (sister of Grandpa Kit) used to make this a lot. Sometimes she would let the children help with the pulling. She always made us wash our hands really well to be sure there would be nothing to keep the "sugar" from being perfectly white. Earl.
